Chloe Hosid is a Design Researcher in Corgan’s education studio where she contributes research-based insight and design strategies to K-12 and higher education projects. She earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas, a Master of Science in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a certificate in Permaculture Design. Chloe has a passion for the altruistic nature of designing spaces for learning and for finding meaningful ways to promote health, wellbeing, and cognitive performance through thoughtful design and the integration of nature in the built environment.
Melissa Bauer is an excellent communicator with extensive experience focusing on design to create functional and aesthetic spaces within her role as Interior Designer at KKT. Melissa has a particular passion for health care related projects and works with the goal of creating environments that increase the comfort and health of the employees, visitors and patients that will use her spaces. She brings vast expertise to all of her work and is certified as an Evidence-Based Design (EDAC) professional. Melissa has some of her research published in Housing and Society, and in the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, on topics of place attachment and nature in a senior co-housing community. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Design, Housing and Merchandising from Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Renee Christensen brings more than a decade of expertise as an international leader in the intersection of mental health and the built environment. As a Director and Mind concept lead at International WELL Building Institute, she led the development of the strategies contained in the Mind concept in the WELL Building Standard- translating research into healthy building practices. She led the development of the first set of features for the residential market focusing on mental health. Dr. Christensen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master in Education from Drury University and Master of Science and PhD in Architectural Studies from University of Missouri-Columbia. She is certified as an Evidence-Based Design (EDAC) professional, WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) and WELL Faculty.
Rachel Liebe is an Assistant Professor of Nutritional Sciences at Oklahoma State University. She received both her PhD and MPH from Virginia Tech. Her work focuses on the non-nutritional factors impacting nutrition behaviors and health equity. Currently, she is focused on the relationship between food security and mental health among mothers and the role of poverty stigma and psychological coping. She is passionate about making policy and system-level changes to support the health of all people.
Jill is a Registered Dietitian that hates kale and loves chocolate, Associate Professor, and Co-director of the Tactical Fitness and Nutrition Lab at Oklahoma State University. She is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and after graduation, spent 9 years moving around the country with her husband for his active-duty Army service working in a variety of settings as a dietitian. As a researcher, Jill investigates how healthy tactical athletes (fire, law enforcement, military) eat, why they eat the way they do, and effective interventions to help them fuel properly for health and performance.
